Vertical Marketing Manager
The Vertical Marketing Manager at Acquia is responsible for helping to build, support and drive vertical strategy across teams and regions to maximize growth in target industries. As the owner and curator of vertical intelligence with the company, the Vertical Marketing Manager will work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, as well as other marketing teams to create and drive compelling messaging, content and strategy for our vertical initiative. This person will become deeply familiar with the customer lifecycle and help drive the marketing plan and strategy for various industries.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply an understanding of target audience to build and execute a vertical marketing strategy.
- Develop product positioning, value propositions and messaging across multiple personas and use cases to increase awareness and accelerate pipeline among different industry verticals.
- Develop and maintain industry specific content to enable sales and marketing to maximize global revenue potential. This includes, but is not limited to, industry playbooks, personna guides, white papers, datasheets, presentations and sales enablement materials.
- Work cross-functionally to define and inform the planning and execution of strategic marketing programs, content development, PR opportunities and event presence.
- Manage and facilitate knowledge sharing and feedback loops with the field, internal and external SMEs, customers, and prospects as well as conducting own market research.
- Perform competitive analysis on vertical market positioning as well as industry analysis on growth and trends.
Required Background:
- 3-5 years experience in a product marketing role and/or a solutions marketing experience, preferably in a software technology environment. Preference given to those with digital, web content management and cloud technology experience.
- Experience with marketing within a defined industry landscape (such as education, financial services, government, media and entertainment, healthcare, technology, etc.)
- Very strong writing and communication skills, including public speaking with internal and external audiences.
