Acquia is looking for a Technical Project Manager who has a passion for agile process, great code, mentoring teams and excellence in project delivery for some of the highest profile Drupal projects in the world.

You get to partner with some of the best Drupal talent in the world, guide Acquia partners, and lead technical delivery teams . You will help government, academic institutions, and large and small businesses to make the most of the power of Drupal and open source.
 
Job Requirements: 
Acquia’s team of Drupal experts is helping our customers build amazing web experiences, migrate to Drupal, tune and improve their Drupal implementations, and advise on all things Drupal and web architecture. With the rapid adoption of Drupal as a web platform, our Technical Consultants are in high demand. They travel on site and work with some of the most talented technologists and some of the hottest web properties on leading edge web development projects. Engagements vary by customer and can include anything from custom coding and mentoring to general consulting and guidance on architecture.
 
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Passion for the web, open source development, and for helping us build a hot and growing start-up
  • PHP coding, SQL administration and optimization, and Unix/Linux or Windows server administration is key
  • Deep Drupal experience is required for this position. An awareness of performance, configuration and development best practices is essential
  • Be hands on project managers with experience managing large, distributed, and complex project teams
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of engagements inclusive of partner progress tracking, risk mitigation, issue tracking, change management, and escalations
  • Experience providing technical support or consulting strongly preferred
  • Strong problem solving abilities, intelligence, initiative, and the ability to thrive under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Project Management and methodology exposure (waterfall, agile, scrum)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
  • Scrum Certification is a plus
